Introducing Tahbilk’s Landmark Series
At Tahbilk, our history is inseparable from the land and the places that have shaped us. With the new Landmark Series, we are bringing those treasured places to life in a collection of limited-release wines, each label carrying a depiction of a defining feature of the Estate.
A Series Born Underground
The series begins where much of our story continues to unfold, in the Underground Cellars. Hand-dug in the 1860s, these cool, earthen chambers still provide the perfect environment for red winemaking. Generations of Tahbilk wines have been nurtured here, slowly maturing with depth and grace in the stillness beneath the earth.
It is fitting, then, that the first two Landmark Series wines are shaped in the quiet of the underground:
2022 Syrah – a wine of elegance, dark fruits, and spice.
2023 Estate Syrah Mourvèdre – fruit-forward and vibrant, with dark berry, plum, pepper, and a savoury richness.
Together, they set the tone for what this series represents: wines that carry both flavour and a sense of place.
Looking Ahead
The Underground Cellars are only the beginning. In future releases, the Landmark Series will celebrate more of Tahbilk’s defining features, from the historic tower that watches over the winery, to the vineyards that have stood for generations, and the wetlands that sustain a rich ecosystem and symbolise our commitment to the environment.
Each release will not only introduce a new wine style, red or white, but will also shine a light on the places that make Tahbilk unique.
A Tradition Carried Forward
Established in 1860, Tahbilk is Victoria’s oldest family-owned winery and vineyard. Purchased by Reginald Purbrick in 1925, the estate has been carried forward by five generations of the family, united by a tradition of pride, perseverance, and a love of good wine.
The Landmark Series continues that story, celebrating the places that define Tahbilk and the wines that bring those places to your glass.
