Embrace each of the three latest such releases here ... while stocks last!

About this winei

Tahbilk Marsanne has a dedicated global following due to its thrilling character and appeal as a young wine with intense lemon, citrus and tropical fruits on a crisp mineral edged finish alongside a proven ability to develop added complexity and character if cellared, when rich honeysuckle and citrus marmalade characters come to the fore.
One of the world’s rarest grape varieties with its origins in the Northern Rhone and Hermitage regions of France, Tahbilk has some of the oldest vines and largest single holding of Marsanne in the world.

Tahbilk Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are crafted with a commitment to traditional winemaking values.
Fermentation takes place in original open oak vats (over 155 years old), followed by maturation in similarly aged large French oak barrels prior to being bottled. Smaller French and American oak barrels are also used, with the wine from these blended back during the final filtering and bottling.
In the face of changing winemaking styles and trends, this has remained the way over the years, delivering wines of true provenance and reflective of each vintage.
The resultant releases are noted as being fruit-driven wines of elegance and substance and have proven over the years to develop added character when cellared

Tasting Notei

Tahbilk 2018 'Museum Release' Marsanne | Enjoy Now to 2028/2033
Lemon gold in colour. The nose is mouth-watering and fresh as a daisy. Fantastic classic Marsanne acidity shining through. Lemon and lime then lead into a nutty and marzipan characters hinting at the aging potential of this wine.
Drink now and pair with a creamy foods; (turmeric cashew chicken would work beautifully) but it is a wine to treasure for later.

Tahbilk 2015 'Museum Release' Shiraz | Enjoy Now to 2029/2031
The nose of the 2015 Shiraz is opulent and full of plum and raspberry. The fruit is slightly jammy indicative of the time spent in bottle. The nose is reminiscent of old world leather, cocoa nib, salami, clove and nutmeg.
On the palate the wine is still full of bright acidity meaning this wine has still got a lot more to give. More of what was on the nose is on the palate coupled with a tarty cranberry and raspberry note. The fruit is the star of the show the tannins are there but more to support.

Tahbilk 2025 'Museum Release' Cabernet Sauvignon | Enjoy Now to 2027/2029
The nose is intense and concentrated cassis, blackcurrant and green herbal characters. The cassis and blackcurrant features on the palate where the green herbal character of tomato leaf and mint are dominate. The wine is true to the varietal, lifted on the front of the palate and the mouth puckering tannins follow through on the back palate. Time is still very much on its side …
