Selected from the most outstanding casks produced on the Estate from a particular vintage, this 2017 Shiraz is a symphony of deliciously ripe dark plum and red berry fruits is joined by a background chorus of black pepper, exotic spices and liquorice notes. A delicious bottle-aged Tahbilk Cabernet Sauvignon with time definitely still on its side. The nose is intense and concentrated cassis, blackcurrant and green herbal characters. The cassis and blackcurrant features on the palate where the green herbal character of tomato leaf and mint are dominate.
A delicious bottle-aged Tahbilk Shiraz ... opulent and full of plum and raspberry fruits . Time in the bottle has also bought characters reminiscent of old world leather, cocoa nib, salami, clove and nutmeg to the fore. Exhibiting all of the character Marsanne aficionados would expect from a Tahbilk release with some bottle age ... Lemon gold in colour. The nose is lofted and fresh as a daisy still fantastic mouth-watering classic Marsanne acidity shining through. Lemon and lime then lead into a nutty and marzipan characters hinting at the further aging potential of this wine.
Widely regarded as one of the world's great fortified wines, this Tahbilk offering brings seductive aromas of orange peel, spice and raisins with background floral hints, to a rich and luscious palate of concentrated coffee, fruitcake, butterscotch and chocolate flavours.
The nose exhibits distinguished aromas of walnut and prune with a complex mix of dried fruits. The palate is deeply flavoured and concentrated with characteristic caramel, toffee, walnut and fruitcake flavours
