On Sunday 8 March, Tahbilk’s Cellar Door Courtyard will come alive with an afternoon dedicated to live paella, Spanish retro funk, and wines made for sipping and sharing. From 1.00pm, the courtyard fills with the aromas of saffron, smoky paprika, and fresh, seasonal ingredients as the chefs from Longhouse Paella set up their signature large, sizzling pans.

Longhouse Paella & Catering from Cobram specialise in authentic paella cooked fresh on site for events, weddings, and private celebrations. Led by a qualified chef, they take care of everything so you can simply relax and enjoy the experience. Their paella is made from scratch using carefully sourced and organically grown ingredients where possible, served in eco-friendly bowls with bamboo cutlery, and always generous — seconds (and sometimes thirds!) are offered, and any leftovers are yours to take home. Upbeat Spanish retro funk music sets the mood, creating a lively, social atmosphere as the paella cooks and guests gather around the pans.

A pop-up Cellar Door wine bar offers the perfect accompaniment. Our lighter chilled reds — including Tahbilk Grenache, the GSM blend of Grenache, Shiraz, Mourvèdre, or the elegant Cabernet Franc — pair beautifully with the vibrant flavours of paella, enhancing every mouthful and adding a refreshing contrast to the rich, aromatic dishes.

The courtyard is set up for a relaxed afternoon, with casual seating, standing tables, and easy flow between food, wine, and music. It’s a chance to catch up with friends, enjoy the flavours and aromas of fresh, authentic paella, and experience the charm of Tahbilk in the heart of the vineyard.
