Cheese, Wine & Waterways

A relaxed Friday afternoon cruise at Tahbilk Estate

There are times when the end of the week calls for something a little slower, a little more considered. At Tahbilk Estate, that moment arrives on the water.

Cheese, Wine & Waterways is a relaxed wetlands cruise designed for couples, friends, locals and visitors who want to ease gently into the weekend, surrounded by vineyard scenery, calm waterways and good company.

What to expect

Your experience begins at the dock with a glass of Tahbilk sparkling wine on arrival — a proper welcome before stepping aboard. As the boat glides quietly through the wetlands, guests are guided through a Tahbilk wine flight, featuring three to four wines per person, each paired with a small, thoughtfully matched cheese bite.

This is not a formal tasting. It’s unhurried and conversational, with gentle insight into the wines, the estate and the landscape unfolding around you. Between pours, there’s time to take in the reflections on the water, the birdlife and the soft shift from afternoon into evening.

Guests are also invited to enjoy an optional Polaroid photo moment, offering a simple keepsake of the experience.

After approximately 45–50 minutes, the cruise returns to the dock. As a farewell, guests receive a voucher with a discount for the Cellar Door or online store — a nudge to take home a favourite wine while the moment is still fresh.
