  • Tahbilk 2024 Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre x 6

The spicy, warmth of Grenache’s cherry and raspberry fruits, combined with the robust dark berry, plum and pepper Shiraz characters and meaty richness of Mourvèdre, has delivered a release of distinctiveness and complexity ...
Is it any wonder that our delicious Estate triple blends have become one of our most popular Reds!

About this winei

Tahbilk has a long association with France’s Rhone Valley grape varietals beginning with Shiraz vines planted in 1860, the year of the Estate’s founding, that still survive to this day and from which a dedicated single-vineyard release is produced.
These elder statesmen vines have been joined by more recent plantings of the Rhone Reds of Grenache and Mourvèdre. Not surprising then to find the traditional Rhone Valley blending of the three sitting amongst the Tahbilk portfolio.
Following harvest, fermentation using selected yeasts then takes place in open oak fermenters for seven days resulting in wines with deep colour and concentration.
Maturation in large format and smaller oak barriques softens the tannins and rounds out the fruit profile whilst adding a spicy oak character.

Tasting Notei

Enjoy Now to 2028/2030
Whilst presenting its own challenges, with a mad rush of ripening, vintage 2024 delivered very good to outstanding wines, deliciously reflected here with this juicy, multilayered triple blend.
Savoury and earthy aromatics grace a flavoursome palate of dark plum and berry fruits with liquorice and spice notes.

Reviewsi

Don't Just Take Our Word For It ..

"Has a youthful freshness on its side and, together with a lively bunch of red cherries, wild raspberries and plums, it's got immediate drinking pleasure all sewn up. Captures Grenache light confection notes amid red licorice, wild herbs, earth and spice and, with a streak of fine tannin as its backbone and some lively acidity, it's ready to shine."
