A little background on Tahbilk 'Gold Selection' ...
Instantly recognised as being the pinnacle of achievement it was a natural choice that when looking to bring together some of the best fruit from our Estate, and then weave through selected parcels from premium Victorian vineyard sites, that these wines would become our ‘Gold Selection’.
Traditional Tahbilk red wine making techniques are employed in the crafting of this wine, with fermentation in open oak vats that were first used over 150 years ago, prior to maturation in French and American oak before bottling.

Instantly recognised as being the pinnacle of achievement, our ‘Gold Selection’ range was the natural home for this youthful and exuberant homage to Spain’s noble grape varietal, Tempranillo.
A fresh and lively fruit-dominant release, there is much to embrace and enjoy here. Vibrant aromas of tobacco leaf, fennel and sweet cherry notes follow to a medium-bodied palate where moreish ripe cherry and red berry fruits sit attractively alongside savoury and spice characters.
A further level of complexity would be realised with mid-term cellaring.
