About this winei
An independent, family owned winery established in 1968, McPherson Wines has steadily established itself as Australia’s least well known top twenty winery, happily enjoying their under the radar reputation as a quality, efficient and innovative winemaker for those in the know.
 
McPherson wines are made to be easy-drinking, fruit driven styles with generous mouth-filling flavours. For almost 40 years the McPherson family have been committed to producing high quality wines at an affordable price.

Fruit for the MWC Shiraz Mourvedre was harvested from selected vineyard sites with in Victoria. The must was fermented in static red fermenters and pumped over every eight hours for the ferment’s duration. Once the ferment was dry, the resulting wine was pressed off the skins and allowed to settle before a natural secondary fermentation commenced. Separate parcels of the wine were aged on French oak for 12 months, after which the final blending of the chosen parcels took place.

Bold aromas and flavours of blackberry and spice, rich and earthy with supple tannins complemented by a hint of French oak that leads to a seamless finish.
Perfectly paired with char-grilled steak, rich red meat dishes or mushroom risotto. Its wide appeal makes it the perfect dinner party wine.
