The Wine - 2019 Sangiovese
Dried herb and earthy notes weave through a cherry and dark fruits palate, with dusty tannins on the finish.
"Dalfarras is about fun and exploration. With myself as the winemaker, my wife Rosa the artist and daughter Hayley as innovator, these wines bring together our creative energy and vibrancy as a family. Working together we offer a range of climate conscious, premium alternative wines under captivating artworks."

"Dalfarras is by Nagambie’s esteemed Tahbilk Winery and the Purbrick family. Made from Clare Valley and Goulburn Valley grapes, this Italian variety makes a bold statement. A savoury, peppery nose with ripe blackberries, black cherries and dried oregano on the palate, with a hotter than average growing season justifying the ripeness and high-ish alcohol. Dusty tannins to finish. Stands up to red meat. Drinks better the next day. Let it breathe."
The Dalfarras Story
Dalfarras is a creative union between Alister and Rosa Purbrick and their eldest child, Hayley Purbrick.
Rosa Purbrick is the artist and the wines are named in homage to her maiden name Dal Farra. She is a creative soul who brings her passion for the natural landscape into her works and a vibrant energy to the Dalfarras labels.
Alister Purbrick is the 4th generation of the Purbrick family at Tahbilk and adds his wine-making touch to the Italian and Spanish inspired wines.
Their daughter Hayley, who is passionate about the environment is making sure the wines are modern yet environmentally friendly carbon neutral wines.
