In 1925 Reginald Purbrick purchased Chateau Tahbilk ... one hundred years and five generations later the Tahbilk legacy continues, and there could be no better white wine to celebrate that legacy than Estate Marsanne.
From a multiple award-winning vintage, and drawing on fruit from vines averaging over 90 years of age, its lemon citrus and tropical fruits and delightful minerality have been further complexed with bottle age contributing trademark honeysuckle and toasty notes.
This is character writ large.

This wine showcases how each vintage is different and how it impacts the longer term cellaring potential. 2009 was a difficult vintage with an uncharacteristically dry winter, devastating bush fires and a hard to predict ripening times. The nose is full of green characters and hints of jammy secondary fruit. The palette is super savoury and full of drying tannins. There is a smokey finish, evidence of the affects of the bushfires. These limited release wines are produced from the Estate’s 1927 planted Marsanne vines – some of the oldest in the world.
