Tahbilk Privacy Statement

Tahbilk Pty Ltd has in the past, and will continue in the future, to respect the privacy of Wine Club Members.

We do comply with the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 and meet the ten National Privacy Principles (NPP's) as spelt out in the Privacy Act which cover:

  • Collection, use and disclosure of information.
  • Storage of information.
  • Access to information.
In particular we give the following commitments regarding personal and sensitive information.
  • Tahbilk Pty Ltd will not keep a record of credit card information unless requested to do so by the Club Member.
  • If an individual is nominated for membership of the Wine Club by a Wine Club Member (e.g. through the "Join a Friend" program) Tahbilk will notify that individual what personal information we hold.
  • Any information held on any Wine Club Member will be kept absolutely confidential and will not be made available to any third party under any circumstances unless sanctioned by the Club Member except to enable wine to be delivered to Club Members.
  • Any Wine Club Member can request and gain access to all information that Tahbilk Pty Ltd holds on that Wine Club Member.
  • Tahbilk Pty Ltd will not request or hold the following sensitive information on any Wine Club Member - age, religion, financial status, marital status, medical details or sexual information.
  • Tahbilk Pty Ltd will destroy all Wine Club Member information held if that Member decides not to renew their Wine Club Membership.

Further, Tahbilk Pty Ltd gives a general undertaking to Wine Club Members, that we will only collect and store personal information that is necessary to enable us to carry out our day to day business activities and legal obligations.

We also undertake to review the personal information held every 12 months and to destroy or de-identify any personal information if we have no further need of the information.

If you believe that your privacy has been breached by us, you can lodge a complaint by emailing admin@tahbilk.com.au or writing to Tahbilk Pty Ltd. P.O. Box 130 Nagambie Victoria 3608, and we will make every endeavour to resolve the matter.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome you may then refer the matter to the Privacy Commissioners Office.
