A BLENDING EXPERIENCE ~ TAHBILK WINERY
Saturday April 1st Monday April 3rd Saturday April 15th
Saturday May 6th Saturday May 20th
11.00am to 12.30pm
Be a winemaker for a day!
Under the guidance of your dedicated Wine Ambassador you will be asked to review a number of individual wines across a spectrum of styles and varietals.
You then put together and assess various combinations of all components to arrive at your chosen blend.
This blend is then judged alongside others from the workshop to select the ‘best’, which will then be bottled, capped and sent home with its maker.
Voila, you’re a winemaker!
$70 per person – Numbers are strictly limited for each Workshop.
To reserve your place call Lauren or Suzy at the Winery 1300 TAHBILK (1300 824 245).
Times can be tailored outside of those above for groups of six to eight (Speak to Lauren or Suzy to arrange)
TAHBILK ‘END OF THE MONTH’ ~ SPECIAL TASTING WEEKENDS
Saturday & Sunday ~ April 22nd & 23rd
Saturday & Sunday ~ May 27th & 28th
Despair not those Wine Club Members who missed our ‘End Of The Month’ tastings of each of the currently available back-vintage ‘Reserve’ and ‘Eric Stevens Purbrick’ Cabernet Sauvignons, because they are continuing through April and May! But this time with a twist!
Not generally poured at Cellar Door – limited stocks preclude that – you can ‘taste for yourself ’ why Len Evans, doyen of the Australian wine industry, described these releases as being "amongst the most unique wines in this country – wines that will live and be enjoyed for many years."
And the twist? (Which will bring those Members who did taste in February and March back again)!
We will have a world-first preview tasting (outside of the winemaking team of course!) of the next vintage 2013 releases of ‘Eric Stevens Purbrick’ Cabernet Sauvignon and ‘Eric Stevens Purbrick’ Shiraz. Both wines are still patiently sitting in the bottle and are due for release in October this year.
ON TASTING WILL BE:
• Tahbilk 1998 ‘Reserve’ Cabernet Sauvignon
• Tahbilk 2003 ‘Eric Stevens Purbrick’ Cabernet Sauvignon
• Tahbik 2006 ‘Eric Stevens Purbrick’ Cabernet Sauvignon
• Tahbilk 2013 ‘Eric Stevens Purbrick’ Cabernet Sauvignon
• Tahbik 2013 ‘Eric Stevens Purbrick’ Shiraz
