How to Enter?

The rich ferric-oxide/sandy loam soils and temperate climate of the Estate are well suited to a broad diversity of plantings but amongst those plantings are varietals and wines that have come to be recognized as truly Tahbilk.
The Whites are lead by the rare and quintessentially Tahbilk, Marsanne – including the ‘1927 Vines’ releases from some of the oldest plantings of the varietal in the world – along with its Rhone 'sister', the wonderfully enchanting and difficult to grow Viognier.
Tahbilk's vineyard plantings of original pre-phylloxera Shiraz from 1860, with an eponymous wine produced from them since 1979, are the essence of Estate terrior – the French term that roughly translates to the total environment of a place, including soil, climate, aspect, vine and even history.
Then there are of course other 'old vine' plantings including Shiraz from 1933, 1936 and 1937 and Cabernet Sauvignon back to 1949 – providing the prime source for the two ‘Eric Stevens Purbrick’ red releases.

Your challenge is to guess which one of the following Tahbilk Estate vines are in the following photograph.

A) ‘1927 Marsanne' Vines

B) ‘1860 Shiraz’ Vines

C) ‘1933 Shiraz’ Vines

D) ‘1949 Cabernet Sauvignon’ Vines

Terms & Conditions

The Tahbilk Facebook Competitions are in now way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Any information provided by participants is to Tahbilk and not to Facebook.
Information on how to enter and details of the winners prize form part of these conditions.
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions and must comply with these conditions to be valid.
Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
Prizes are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash.
Entry is open to residents of Australia who are 18 years or over. Employees of Tahbilk Winery and their associated companies, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
To be eligible to enter entrants must be a member of the Tahbilk Wine Club and like Tahbilk on facebook.
Participants are only eligible to win one Chairman’s Challenge promotion annually.
The competition opens on Thursday 3rd May 2012 and closes on Monday 31st May at 5pm and will be drawn at Tahbilk Winery on Monday 4th June at 11am.
The winner will receive a bottle of wine sourced from the vines photographed.
Competition winners will be notified by email and telephone on Monday 4th June 2012 and will be published in the August/September Edition of the Tahbilk Wine Club Newsletter.
Once the draw has been completed the decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entrants can only enter in their own name.
The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of age, identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address, and/or proof of entry validity. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) as a result of accepting and/or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries delayed or not received and reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry.

WIN NEW RELEASES THREE PACK

Tahbilk Wine Club Members who place an order by mail, phone, fax, over the web or directly at Cellar Door, will be entered in draw to win a ‘New Releases Three Pack’ featuring a bottle each of the latest Tahbilk 2010 Chardonnay and new ‘Museum Release’ Tahbilk 2008 Riesling & Tahbilk 2002 Shiraz.
A quirky little threesome of individual appeal that you might not ever have thought of putting together yourself but I know if you are one of the twelve lucky winners, you will be glad we did!

Twelve ‘New Releases Three Packs’ featuring a bottle each of Tahbilk 2010 Chardonnay, Tahbilk 2008 ‘Museum Release’ Riesling and Tahbilk 2002 ‘Museum Release’ Shiraz will be given away.
The prize is on offer for purchases made by mail, phone, fax, over the web or directly at Cellar Door from March 26th 2012 to May 31st 2012 inclusive, with the winners selected by random computer scanning of eligible purchases.
Entrants must be over 18 years and prizes are not transferable. All winners will be notified and results published in the August/September 2012 Newsletter.

TAHBILK WINE CLUB MEMBERS SURVEY

Firstly, we would like thank all of those Club Members who responded to our recent emailed Wine Club Survey – we were overwhelmed by the number of repsonses.
Your feedback was gratefully received and we look forward to using it to provide an even better Wine Club experience for you all.

Those who completed the Survey were automatically entered into a Competion to win six bottles each of the Tahbilk 2006 'Eric Stevens Purbrick' Shiraz and Tahbilk 2006 'Eric Stevens Purbrick' Cabernet Sauvignon valued in excess of $700.

Our congratulations go to Wine Club Member Stuart Hall (Cheltenham) who was the lucky winner!

We will be publishing a summary of the results in the next couple of months so do keep your eyes posted, and thank you again to those who responded.
