Waitstaff - Tahbilk Cafe

The Tahbilk Cafe, located at Tahbilk Winery, is looking for professional and motivated Casual front of house people to work on Weekdays, Weekends, Public Holidays and occasional evening work. This is the perfect role for those looking to work in a beautiful location, in a venue which focuses on local produce matched to our range of Tahbilk and Dalfarras wines; open 5 days a week (Thursday to Monday) from 10am to 4pm. 

Your role will include:

  • Providing exceptional and professional customer service to all patrons
  • Familiarisation of menu and wine
  • Taking and processing food and wine orders accurately
  • Setting up and clearing of tables
  • Cash handling via POS
  • Assist and liaise with Front of House Manager

You will need:

  • Waiting experience in a busy environment,
  • Excellent customer service skills,
  • Experience in coffee making (desirable not essential),
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
  • Able to work Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays as well as Public Holidays we would like to hear from you.

Vineyard Hand/Maintenance Officer

The Vineyard Hand/Maintenance Officer role is a Permanent full time position, split approximately 75% general vineyard hand, and 25% vineyard maintenance. The position reports to the Vineyard Manager and is part of the Tahbilk Vineyard Team. The job split may vary widely from day to day and week to week, as required by the business.

The position is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, however during vintage (harvest) you will be required to work 12 hour shifts, 6 days per week. You may be required to work day or night shift as required. To be considered for the role you must hold a trade qualification in a mechanical field, or as a fitter and turner or similar, and have relevant experience.

Vineyard operations experience is desirable but not essential. As a Vineyard Hand you will be required to perform general vineyard operations including operating tractors and associated equipment. As Vineyard Maintenance Officer you will be required to perform maintenance of and repairs to Tahbilk vineyard equipment, plan preventive maintenance, and liaise with support technicians as required.

Customer Service/Administration Position

The Tahbilk administration department located at Tahbilk Winery is seeking a Customer Service/ Administration Assistant to fill a 12 month, Maternity Leave vacancy. The position is Full Time, 40 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. The role is at the forefront of all customer enquiries both face to face and over the phone. A majority of the role will be assisting wine club members with wine orders and enquires.

Key responsibilities but not limited to are;

  • Processing wine club orders over the phone, email and website
  • Assist wine club members with all enquires
  • Answering incoming calls, directing these calls and/ or sending email messages to appropriate staff
  • Resolve customer complaints
  • Attend to visitors at reception
  • Organise and set up for meetings, onsite events, industry visits, staff functions and major events
  • Arrange catering
  • Process stationery order
  • Assist Wine Club and Cellar Door Manager to organise events
  • Filing and distribution of media articles
