In 1991, Tahbilk husband and wife team of winemaker Alister Purbrick and artist Rosa Dal Farra decided to combine their talents to produce a range of alternative varietal wines showcased under Rosa’s boldest art works.

Now two decades on their children, Matt and Hayley, have joined the Dalfarras story. Matt bringing his graphic design skills to featuring Rosa’s works on the label and Hayley to the selection of the Dalfarras blends.
A new generation philosophy focusing on the fun side of life!

You may be thinking to yourself – what on earth is a Savinno?
Hayley and brother Matt made up the words – their thought being to keep things interesting and quirky.
Savinno is Savignin - easier to say and it rolls off the tongue quite nicely.
In Australia it was recently discovered that winemakers and growers have been mistakenly selling Savagnin as the Spanish varietal Albarino – oops.
This means almost all wine made in Australia under the guise of Albarino is more than likely Savagnin!

The Wine
Citrus, rock melon and tropical fruit flavours with a crisp clean palate. It is just about the perfect seafood wine according to Hayley, and I have no reason to challenge that!

The Art:
‘Shadow Play’ is Rosa’s artwork that Matt has so stylishly crafted into the three sequential labels. Collect the labels as you enjoy the wine!
